Bennett has a broad civil & chancery practice, with emphasis on property, trusts, & building related disputes. He has appeared in all civil courts up to and including the Court of Appeal. He was a Judicial Assistant at the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. He is a former solicitor.
His land & property law experience includes conveyancing disputes, trust claims, landlord & tenant, land valuation, mortgagee & receivership actions, Chinese Customary Law & New Territories land, building management & land related nuisance claims.
He has experience with trust & fiduciary disputes involving complex tracing exercises, off-shore family trusts, probate, company disputes, insolvency. He has published widely and is cited in Hong Kong & beyond, including notably in the leading practitioner’s text, Snell’s Equity.
